Portland Museum of Art Jazz Breakfast.
I will be playing in 2 out of the three groups in this great night of music at The Joy of Music Program. This is part of their faculty concert series, and it just so happens that the jazz faculty play together in several different settings forming at least 4 different groups. Three of these groups will be performing on this night.

I will be playing alto sax in Ed Harlow's latin jazz group live at Mechanics Hall, Worcester, MA. Mechanics Hall is part of WPI's campus. This 1 hour set will be simulcast on WICN radio.
I will be playing with the Jim Rudolf Quintet. Jim wants to play happy music all night!!

Come check out a concert that I am helping to produce with Faculty member Ran Blake, and students Aaron Hartley, Lana, and film producer Josh Drake. I will also be performing on the concert with members of the Contemporary Improvisation Dept., and NEC family. The concert will involve scenes from Spiral Staircases the movie (film noir), with musical performances, readings and dance, during and in between the scenes. Concert is Free and open to the public!

Industrious Noise will kick off 3 consecutive Creative Nation Music nights, to be held as part of Jazz Boston week at the Lily-pad in Cambridge, MA. Creative Nation Music is the Somerville based record label that our debut album "trio" is released on. Tonight will feature all the Contemporary Improvisation ensembles. The three ensembles are coached by faculty Anthony Coleman, Joe Morris, and David Fiucinzki. I am in Anthony Colemans ensemble which will be performing at 7:30.
This night will feature all jazz ensembles that are coached by Jerry Bergonzi. I play in Jerry's Monday morning ensemble. Each ensemble will play and hour set starting at 6:30.

A hand full of NEC students as well as myself will have the awesome pleasure of performing with Roscoe Mitchell on October 5th at the New England Conservatory. The concert will be the conclusion of his 4 day residency at NEC. He will be giving 2 masterclasses as well as the concert. I am playing in drummer Adam Sturtevant's new project. The group is called Porous Orchestra and is a 9-piece chamber ensemble w/trombone, alto sax, violin, cello, vibes, piano, guitar, bass, drums. The music is very different it is like minimalist classical music combined w/trip hop, drum n'bass, and other grooves. 18 Dustin Street, Brighton, MA, 02135. 5$ suggested donation.
